萨塞克斯大学贪污与治理文学硕士项目将帮助学生理解什么是腐败、腐败扩散的地点和原因，以及如何抵制这种现象。学生将解决许多具有挑战性的问题，比如不同学科是如何定义腐败的，再比如这些不同的定义是如何形成不同的反腐败手段的，等等。学生会通过具体的例子来进行研究，这些例子上至党派、政治家和公务员等系统性地滥用权力，下至小规模的、轻微的不端行为。商业在腐败中所充当的角色亦将是该项目考察分析的对象。
